Albanias historic Places, Apollonia and Butrint
Albania has many fascinating archaeological sites to explore.
Albania, Land of Eagles
A bright red flag with a black double headed eagle is the symbol of Albania. Its seen everywhere, far more than in most European countries, the red is for bravery and the eagle represents the sovereign state of Albania. Its capital, Tirana, is right in the centre of the country.
Las Vegas, The Devils City
Surprisingly I loved Las Vegas and JP who enjoys putting money in a one armed bandit didn’t like it much.
Los Angeles, City Of Angels
In Southern California, Los Angeles has plenty of tourist attractions even if you’re not interested in Hollywood. But its dirty, expensive, dangerous in places, and so big walking is a problem.
Washington DC
Washington on the Potomac river is the capital of the USA. It was named after their first president, George Washington.
New York, New York
You don’t have to do anything special in New York, just walking around is enough entertainment.
Toronto and Another Island
Toronto , capital of Ontario is over two thousand miles from our last big city, Vancouver. It makes you realise just how big North America is.
Vancouver and Vancouver Island
Vancouver is a large city in Western Canada. We arrived by bus from Seattle. Getting into Canada is no easier then getting into America but we made it.
Amtrak to Seattle
We took an Amtrak train to Seattle, slow but comfortable. We arrived in the evening and saw a lot of homeless people on our way to the hotel.
