USA
Los Angeles, City Of Angels
In Southern California, Los Angeles has plenty of tourist attractions even if you’re not interested in Hollywood. But its dirty, expensive, dangerous in places, and so big walking is a problem.
Washington DC
Washington on the Potomac river is the capital of the USA. It was named after their first president, George Washington.
New York, New York
You don’t have to do anything special in New York, just walking around is enough entertainment.
Amtrak to Seattle

If You’re Going To San Francisco
For someone who lived through the sixties San Francisco has a lot to live up to. Turns out its smelly and dirty in places but in others it does ok.
So Much To Do in San Antonio
JP chose San Antonio as our next destination because of the Alamo. Well to be more accurate because John Wayne made a good film about the Alamo.
NOLA, New Orleans Louisiana
To get to New Orleans, known as NOLA we chose Amtrack. The trains are very comfortable with reclining seats and check in luggage but not very fast.
Memphis, The Music and Graceland
To get to Memphis we unwisely chose to take the Greyhound bus. This should definitely have been a one off never to be repeated experience! Lets just say the other travellers are on the scary side. Continue reading
The Great Smokey Mountains and Dollywood
From Nashville we hired a car and headed for the great Smokey Mountains for some beautiful scenery. But I did have an ulterior motive- Dollywood!
